"A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and resources"

Understanding "the why" Behind your relationship with God through Jesus christ:

* In the beginning, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve's disobedience to God, which severed the relationship between God and man, and established man as an enemy of God.

* Man's authority over everything in creation was taken away from him and they were removed from paradise (Garden of Eden)

* Adam and Eve saw their nakedness and felt the guilt and shame of being exposed

* God executed the first blood sacrifice for the sin of Adam. This set the standard for a blood sacrifice to be the only way to re-establish our relationship with God and remove the guilt and shame of sin.  However, the first blood sacrifices that were performed with specific animals, were only a temporary fix

* God knew the only way to reconcile God's and man's broken relationship permenantly was through a pure, sinless, and blemish-free sacrifice.  He also knew that no one on earth was worthy enough to carry out that sacrifice for mankind, so He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be sacrificed on the world's behalf

* Since we are all born into this world a sinner, relationally seperated from God, Jesus came to this world as our advocate, in human form, to live the required sinless and blemish-free life, which qualified Him to be the ultimate sacrifice to die in the place of all of mankind

* Jesus dying on the cross, was not the end of the story.  After 3 days, He rose from the dead, which immediately defeated Satan, and eternally freed us from the penalty of sin which is death

* Now that Jesus did His part, our part is to trust that Jesus's blood sacrifice, in itself, is all we need to be reconciled in our relationship with God our Heavenly Father and Creator

* Jesus promised that our trust in Him guarantees us that He will send a free gift, the Holy Spirit, to live in us and lead and guide us into all truth, understanding, and wisdom

* The Holy Spirit gives us free access to His 9 characteristics (Galatians 5:22-26), which allows us to live in the freedom of His love.  We can now freely Love God first and Love our neighbor as ourselves

* By loving one another with our time and resources, it allows the world to know that we are His disciples

We are not a religious community.  Jesus was against religion and so are we.  Unity amongst believers is our ultimate goal.
